About Moshe Malka
Moshe Malka (born in 1940) creates intense paintings in which the colours interact almost like a firework. His abstract works look like landscapes and flower portraits but elude any concrete interpretation. What remains is the pure joy of the play of colours, like a freely interpreted piece of music translated into the visual world of painting.
He studied at the "Academie Arts Graphiques" in Tel-Aviv, the "Academie de Beaux Arts" in Jerusalem, the "École d'Arts Graphiques de Montparnasse" and the "Academie des Beaux Arts" in Paris. He works at the "Ateliers Johny Friedlander", in Paris.
Moshe Malka has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in France, the USA, Germany and Austria. The artist lives and works in Paris.
Term for paintings and sculptures that are detached from representational depiction, which spread across the entire western world and parts of the eastern world from around 1910 onwards in ever new stylistic variations. The Russian painter Wassily Kandinsky, born in 1866, is considered the founder of abstract art. Other important artists of abstract art are K.S. Malewitsch, Piet Mondrian, and others.
