About Eduardo Chillida
1924-2002
Large-format original lithographs by Eduardo Chillida have become a treasure - they are so rare that connoisseurs covet them. Like no one before him, Chillida knows how to divide the painting space with a few, previously unseen stylistic elements and thus create a mood that oscillates between contemplative calm and creative restlessness. A real force field!
Internationally known for his oversized iron sculptures, Chillida has made a name for himself on the art market primarily as a graphic artist. He subtly translates his sculptural language, characterised by beam-like elements, into the two-dimensional. "The price spiral for these works is slowly but unmistakably turning upwards. ...Ambitious, large prints and, above all, the artist's works on paper have to be sought out," wrote the German business newspaper Handelsblatt in 2012.

The Russian painter Wassily Kandinsky, born in 1866, is considered the founder of abstract art. Other important artists of abstract art are K.S. Malewitsch, Piet Mondrian, and others.
